Salus Marine Wear Warranty Policy
To best serve our customers we are pleased to offer a 1-year limited warranty on all our products against defects in workmanship and materials. Salus Marine Wear has the sole discretion to determine what qualifies as a manufacturers defect.
The warranty excludes products damaged due to normal wear and tear, unauthorized modifications or alterations, improper use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence, damage, UV fabric fading, fabric staining from products used, mold and mildew build up, items put in the washing machine, or if the product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed. Unauthorized product modification automatically voids the Salus Marine Wear warranty.
Repairs and Replacement Policy
If satisfactory repairs can be made, we will be pleased to do so. Items must be approved by Salus Marine Wear for any warranty issues or repairs required.
To begin your warranty claim please email customerservice@salusmarine.com and include the following information:
- Description of the issue
- Image of the white label inside the PFD
- Image of the damaged area and a full photo showing the entire PFD
- Proof of purchase (if possible)
A customer service representative will get back to you with next steps regarding your claim.
Repairs can take 2-4 weeks to process once the vest has been received at our factory. We will take care of the basic repair cost (ie replacing a zipper) and shipping the item back to you, as long as you cover the cost of sending the PFD to us. Additional repair costs (ie if a full fabric panel needs replacing) may occur based on extent of repair needed.
Replacement PFDs or replacement discounts may only be offered at our discretion on a case-to-case basis if a satisfactory repair cannot be made. Products with defects in materials or workmanship will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of Salus Marine Wear for the 1-year after purchase.
Salus Marine Wear will use reasonable discretion to determine the validity of warranty claims. Each situation is different and is up to the discretion of Salus Marine Wear to determine whether a product has a manufacturing defect or if it is suffering wear and tear. In the case that a product does have a manufacturing defect deemed by Salus Marine Wear and is repairable, Salus Marine Wear will attempt to make repairs before a replacement is given. The decision on whether to repair or replace a product is solely up to the discretion of Salus Marine Wear.
